Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information GeN3 Media Inc. ("GeN3", "we", "us") collects through gen3mag.com, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

Directory applications

When you apply for a Directory listing we store what you enter in the form: business name, website, neighborhood, category, contact name, email address and your description of the business. We also record the date of the application and, briefly, your IP address to stop repeated or automated submissions. We use this to review the application, contact you about it and, if it is accepted, publish the business details in the Directory. Your contact name and email address are never published.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can reply and follow up.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising features are switched off.

Visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics only runs if you accept. Visitors elsewhere have analytics on by default. Anyone can change their choice at any time using Cookie settings, which also appears in the footer of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name gen3-consent.

Forms on other services

The "Join the community", "Work with the studio" and investor deck links open forms hosted by Formshare. Information you enter there is collected under Formshare's own terms and privacy policy, and shared with us so we can respond.

Technical data

Like any website, our hosting provider and content delivery network receive your IP address and basic request information when you load a page, and keep short-lived logs for security and to keep the site running.

• Kinsta (website hosting)
• Cloudflare (content delivery and security)
• Google (analytics, where permitted)
• Zoho (email)
• Cloudflare's cdnjs (animation code libraries loaded by the page)

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How long we keep it

Directory applications are kept while the listing is live, and for up to 24 months after a decision if it is not. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation is relevant. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to hello@gen3mag.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, our legal bases are your consent (analytics) and our legitimate interest in running the Directory and answering enquiries, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
